ACTIVITIES: Teach classes, typically in field of study. Coach a sport or supervise an activity and proctor study hall. Accompany students on field and incentive trips and to cultural events and academic competitions. Full-time volunteers receive stipend, medical insurance, and an AmeriCorps education award.

OVERVIEW: Resident teachers serve one or two years with AmeriCorps while making a difference every day in the lives of Nativity’s students, gaining teaching experience with guidance and very motivated students. Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington is a tuition-free Catholic middle school for boys. Guided by the example of Saint Francis de Sales, it strives to educate students, regardless of faith, to maximize their God given potential.
