ACTIVITIES: The AmeriCorps VISTA program at Legal Aid Chicago seeks a Community and Organizational Affairs Coordinator to work directly with the CEO/Executive Director and the Chief of Staff/Deputy Director to assist with outreach initiatives designed to create awareness of LAC’s mission and the services it provides in order to enhance its community profile; support efforts to cultivate relationships with local service providers, law firms, law schools, corporations, and foundations; help coordinate recruitment of community board members. More than 150 full-time attorneys, staff, and volunteers help resolve legal problems, including domestic violence, consumer fraud, and unfair evictions.
