OVERVIEW: Echo is a dynamic, two-year service-learning, formation program through the Institute for Church Life at Notre Dame that prepares tomorrows leaders in faith formation. Echo apprentices have the opportunity to engage in ongoing academic, professional-ministerial, human, communal, and spiritual formation while serving at a parish in one of our partner dioceses. Both ongoing formation and hands-on experience enable Echo participants to develop the skills, insights, and capacities that help promote the catechetical mission of the Catholic Church. Echo graduates earn a tuition-free M.A. in Theology through the University of Notre Dame.
