ACTIVITIES: Direct a soupline serving over 600 guests/night; coordinate meal service volunteers; help with transitional housing; oversee clothing closet, laundry, and shower facilities; distribute blankets, hygiene products, pain meds; get to know people experiencing homelessness and share their stories with others.

COMMITMENT: 12 months

OVERVIEW: Andre House is a ministry of hospitality which blends the traditions of the Catholic Worker and the Congregation of Holy Cross to serve people experiencing homelessness in the Phoenix area. Core Team Members, often recent college graduates, commit to this mission by living and working among the poor for one year. Andre House also hosts college break groups and provides summer internships. Full-time Core Team Member benefits include room and board, monthly stipend, loan deferment and $7,500 educational grant upon completion of service (for grad program or student debt relief).
