OVERVIEW: Farm of the Child offers volunteers a unique opportunity to live in a therapeutic, faith-based community that serves children who’ve been abandoned, orphaned and exposed to trauma. Volunteers are asked to come each year to live in community and to serve in a variety of roles. While these responsibilities are important, their primary role is to serve as a loving presence and beacon of light and hope to the children. The Farm of the Child relies on its volunteers to bring the light of Christ to the children it serves. We are deeply grateful to all who have served and continue to during the past 20+ years. Spanish speaking skills are helpful although not required since volunteers may also attend language school together.
