OVERVIEW: Volunteers live and work in houses of hospitality, accompanying the poorest of the poor in migration. Deeply rooted in Catholic social tradition, Annunciation House is different from many social service organizations in that residents don’t separate their lives from their work: volunteers live, eat, and share their daily lives with guests, who are mostly migrants from Mexico and Central America.
