2023–24 McNeill Common Good Fellows

The McNeill Common Good Fellowship is a paid, three-year fellowship for Notre Dame undergraduates. The fellows join an interdisciplinary community of scholars eager to explore how to live an ethical life of meaning, purpose, and impact. Meet our 2023-24 McNeill Common Good Fellows:

Bernice Antoine

I’m a second-year international student from Trinidad and Tobago studying Business Analytics and Global Affairs. I champion my passions in women empowerment, youth development, and entrepreneurship on campus through working with the IDEA Center as an IDEA Fellow and Derisking Insights Analyst, Notre Dame Student Government Director of International Engagement and Outreach Department, and NDIGI Women Investing Summit. I look forward to exploring how I can be a force for good in this program!

Eyitayo Awe

Hello, I am a Neuroscience and Behavior major from South Suburbs of Chicago. In pursuing this degree path, I have developed a deep interest in understanding the intersection of mental health, physical health, socioeconomic background, and access to healthcare in impoverished communities.

On campus, I am involved in the Marching Band (Go Basses!), African Student Association, GlobeMed, Center For Career Development, and Transformational Leaders Program. I have also volunteered at the Robinson Community Learning Center and the Beacon Health Care System. Through these experiences, I aim to advocate for the mental health and well-being of underserved communities, particularly economically disadvantaged young adults.

Annie Brown

I’m from all over the United States, but lately I call Milwaukee home. On campus, I’m in the Program of Liberal Studies, with minors in French and Journalism, Ethics & Democracy. I love storytelling, reading Joan Didion, and dreaming about my next great meal!

Charlie Desnoyers

Hi! I’m Charlie Desnoyers, a chemistry major and scientific computing minor from Tinley Park, Illinois. I am interested in how chemistry research can be applied to real-world problems, such as harm-reduction-based drug tests, and guide scientific policy, such as lot testing. Outside the lab, I am a trumpet in the Band of the Fighting Irish, tour guide, and an avid lover of Billy Joel.

Gabriella Doe

I am a second-year student pursuing a major in Architecture and minor in Latino Studies. I am from Fort Worth, Texas, and take great pride in my African American and Panamanian heritages. I love expressing my cultural identity through art, and I deeply enjoy exploring my heritage through Latin American and West African art and architecture from the colonial period.
