Gabriela González serves as assistant director of research and special projects at the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Social Concerns. In this role, she supports the institute’s mission by conducting foundational research, drafting materials for new initiatives, and leading the development of strategic opportunities. She manages project scoping and stakeholder engagement, and provides benchmarking and data reviews to strengthen institute programs. Gabriela also works closely with university leadership, departments, and partner institutes to advance collaborative efforts and new programming.

Prior to joining the institute, Gabriela worked with the graduate admissions team at the Mendoza College of Business and spent seven years as a teacher and instructional coach in public education.

Gabriela earned a master of education in secondary education from Wayland Baptist University and a bachelor of arts in sociology and Latino Studies, with a minor in constitutional studies, from the University of Notre Dame.
