Engage South Bend

The Institute for Social Concerns is pleased to invite graduate students to Engage South Bend, an excursion into the community to connect with colleagues and community partners and explore possibilities for research and scholarship. Learn about South Bend’s rich history and hear from faculty and community partners working together to address pressing concerns related to topics from housing to environmental justice. See firsthand how your expertise can contribute to building a flourishing South Bend.

Mark your calendars for Friday, February 27, 2026. The bus will depart from Library Circle at 11:00 am and return at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided – please RSVP HERE to help us accommodate your needs and preferences.

Whether you are new to the community or looking to deepen existing partnerships, join us for a chance to connect, learn, and be inspired. Questions? Contact Regina Williams-Preston in the Institute for Social Concerns at rwilli49@nd.edu.
