Description

Our site is the mission of the Congregation of Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) in Peru. Our mission area is located in Canto Grande, a poor area of Lima. The Congregation attends to the service of the parish in the areas of health, education, disabled children and support for the most vulnerable families. Our parish has 260,000 inhabitants, and it is the largest parish in our diocese and in the city of Lima. There are many things to do! We invite you to live this mission experience working primarily in our schools and with children with disabilities. We also serve families from the parish and attend to the health of families from our Polyclinic. We also work for the spiritual well-being of families through our Family Pastoral Institute – INFAM and the Apostolate of the Rosary in the Family.

Student Role

Support for the teacher with children in special education, both at the “”Fe y Alegria N° 25″” school as well as at our service center for disabled children, “”Yancana Huasy””. In “”Yancana Huasy,”” you can go through the different service areas where children receive services (language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, production workshop and classrooms). What is needed most is support in the different services provided directly to children and adolescents: occupational, speech, physical and neurological therapy, and visits to the children’s homes. Another possibility may be teaching English classes at school. Sometimes, we need assistance with administrative tasks in the office. There are also opportunities to serve in the Clinica Hermano Andres.
