Robinson Community Learning Center/AmeriCorps

ACTIVITIES: AmeriCorps members may be assigned to serve at the RCLC as well as at partner sites, including the ND Center for Arts and Culture and the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. AmeriCorps members will be charged with directly serving program participants, building program capacity, and expanding the outreach of their assigned program area. Areas include Youth Development, LitCorps, Shakespeare, ENL Pre-School, Take Ten, Youth Entrepreneurship, and Talk With Your Baby. The service year runs from early September 1 through the end of July 31. Part-time service opportunities are available during the school year as well.

OVERVIEW: The mission of the Robinson Community Learning Center (RCLC)is to strengthen the Northeast Neighborhood of South Bend through relationship building and educational opportunities. The work of the RCLC addresses five goals to accomplish this mission: Hospitality, Education, Partnership, Civic Engagement, and Sustainability.
