Jubilee Year Changemakers
ACTIVITIES: Jubilee recruits corps members from across the U.S. to live in community and work for change by serving full-time in some of Los Angeles’ most creative and effective social service agencies. These agencies provide corps members with high-level, meaningful engagement with problems and solutions of social injustice. Jubilee partners with a variety of agencies serving populations ranging from: homeless, unemployed, formerly incarcerated, abused children, at-risk youth, immigrants, refugees, and persons living with HIV/AIDS. Benefits include: monthly stipend / community food/basic needs allowance / Housing & utilities / Health care coverage (including dental & vision) / Annual Metro (public transit) Pass / Student loan deferment eligibility & education award / Extensive support services including mentorship, professional development, curriculum based study, discussion opportunities, and quarterly retreats / Access, interaction, and valuable networking opportunities with alumni and partners.

OVERVIEW: Founded in 1991 as the Episcopal Urban Intern Program (EUIP), Jubilee Year has been responding to the needs of our community and serving Los Angeles for over 30 years. Our fellows have touched thousands of lives through service, community building, and changemaking in partnership with more than 50 of L.A.’s most innovative and effective community-minded organizations. Jubilee’s Program is a fellowship offering a unique, diverse corps of young adults the opportunity and space to grow personally and professionally while uplifting communities, transforming lives, and critically engaging concepts of justice and equity. Jubilee staff encourage individuals of all spiritual understandings to apply, one of the longest continuously operating service programs in the nation.
