Christian Appalachian Project

ACTIVITIES: Child and family development, education, elderly services, domestic violence shelters, emergency assistance, home repair, food pantries, human resources, summer camps or disaster relief. All placements are within CAP programs; rather than being placed in an external agency you serve alongside full time CAP staff within a CAP program.

OVERVIEW: Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is an interdenominational, non-profit Christian organization committed to serving people in need in Appalachia by providing physical, spiritual, and emotional support through a wide variety of programs and services. CAP volunteers serve in eastern Kentucky. CAP is an AmeriCorps program. The volunteer corps is interdenominational and intergenerational.
