Geneva Hutchinson joined the institute in September 2023 as a postdoctoral research scholar. Geneva was a Graduate Justice Fellow at the institute during the 2022-23 academic year and has continued working with students who are exploring themes of justice in their research through fellowships, courses, and workshops.
Geneva’s research examines the complexities of trauma in religious and familial spaces and she creates artwork as a form of healing, resistance, and storytelling. Geneva uses her training and experience as a professional artist and educator to empower others to share their own stories through public art projects and exhibitions.
Geneva holds an MFA in studio art from the University of Notre Dame and a BFA in printmaking and B.A. in communications from Clemson University.
