Rosie Binette ’27 is a neuroscience and behavior major on the pre-med track from Westchester, New York, currently living off-campus after three years in Johnson Family Hall. At the institute, she has worked as a part of Genesis, traveled to Morehead, Kentucky, to work with Frontier Housing as a part of Appalachia Seminar, and taken a few of her favorite classes for her Justice and Society minor. When she’s not working for the Hospitality Team or studying in the Geddes Hall Coffee House, she is also a tour guide and the president of Baraka Bouts, the women’s club boxing at Notre Dame. She is involved in a neuroscience research lab and has volunteered with various South Bend organizations, such as South Bend Center for the Homeless and La Casa de Amistad. Following graduation, she plans to complete a year of service while applying for medical school, combining her passion for the hard sciences with social justice work.
