Felicia Johnson O’Brien, MSW
Program Director
Felicia Johnson O’Brien is program director of justice education, having joined the institute staff in fall 2008. She co-directs summer immersive experiences and coordinates international engagement at the institute. She also works with students discerning postgraduate opportunities and teaches the course Discernment and the Common Good. Prior to working at the institute, she worked on international efforts for Notre Dame’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Before working at Notre Dame, Felicia spent three years serving with Farm of the Child in Honduras.
Felicia received her master of social work from the Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC, and specialized in counseling and developing programmatic initiatives with immigrant families and refugees in the broader DC community. A proud Notre Dame alumna, she received her B.A. in the program of liberal studies and Spanish literature in 1995.
