Integrating Virtues Together Initiative
The purpose of higher education has been the acquisition of skills and knowledge – scientific knowledge in this case. However, it is more than just that. Education plays a formative role in the development of character. So, we contend that teaching is not only about gaining knowledge but shaping who we are and by developing practical wisdom we can make good decisions that shape and benefit society. We want our students to graduate with character traits that surpasses their own self-interest and help navigate their purpose in advancing society.

Course format: An intermediate course in the structures, functions, mechanisms, and interactions of mammalian organ systems. Discussions span topics from molecular to whole animal functions.
