Children's Home Society - The Faine House

Children's Home Society is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Florida that provides a myriad of social services throughout the state. Emphasis is placed on preventative programs and helping those involved in the state's child welfare system. The Faine House is a 10 bed transitional living program that helps young adults that have exited foster homes/group care homes transition towards independence. Services offered: help continuing education, transportation, life skill instructions, financial literacy, Mental health services in a safe therapeutic living situation.

Valley Youth House

DeSales Service Works is a volunteer service program of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. DSW exists to impact the lives of others and to Live Jesus! We provide opportunities for face-to-face service, and we work to change the lives of those we serve and to expand the mindset of those who serve. All of our efforts seek to improve struggling neighborhoods while recognizing the goodness of these impoverished communities. We welcome volunteers on alternative breaks, summer internships, and as year long volunteers.

Wayfinder Schools

Wayfinder Schools was established through the merger of The Community School (Maine’s first alternative high school) and Opportunity Farm (founded in 1910 as a home for at-risk boys). We now serve 70 young men and women throughout Maine who are at risk of high school non-completion.

Cristo Rey Newark

Cristo Rey Newark High School is a Catholic, college preparatory high school in Newark, New Jersey providing a rigorous education for underserved students. We welcome students of all faiths and cultural heritages. We promote academic excellence, professionalism, and virtuous character rooted in Christian values through a college ready curriculum with an integrated work-study program focused on skills and experience for the purpose of transforming self and society.

Forge Evolution

Forge Evolution, formerly Colorado Springs Teen Court’s, Board of Directors and staff began to explore the needs of the community in 2019 to determine the gaps of services for youth throughout Colorado Springs. It was identified that the Teen Court program was limited in serving its current clients and that there were more opportunities to serve youth in an expanded capacity.

Boys Town

Changing the way America cares for children, families, and communities by providing and promoting an Integrated Continuum of Care that instills Boys Town values to strengthen body, mind, and spirit. The SSLP student will work directly with our youth providing supervision, direction, and role modeling. The student will work in our recreation department during the evenings or Friday’ after the Summer Enrichment Program. We will also work with the student's interests to see where his or her time is best spent and what needs are presented among the staff.

Nativity Miguel Middle School of Buffalo

We are a faith-based middle school transforming the lives of underserved students in a secure and nurturing environment on single gender campuses, the St. Monica Campus for girls and the St. Augustine Campus for boys. In partnership with our students' families, we deliver a uniquely effective education that includes an extended school day and school year, dedicated and caring teachers, personal mentoring and continuing support through high school graduation.

Nativity School

The Nativity School of Worcester is an independent Jesuit middle school for inner-city boys living in the vulnerable neighborhoods of Worcester. The SSLP student assists in the administrative planning of the summer program for the 5th - 8th grade boys and assists the teachers in the delivery of the program.

2nd Floor/180 Turning Lives Around

2nd Floor is a statewide helpline for kids and young adults that -+180 Turning Lives Around Inc., operates in New Jersey. Its purpose is to provide non-judgmental assistance and crisis intervention to young callers throughout New Jersey. The SSLP student will follow up with the main referral resources, assist with social marketing of the helpline, provide input regarding promotional materials and website development, and monitor and respond to website and message board posts under the supervision of a staff member.

Romero Center Ministries is an urban retreat and social justice education center in the heart of East Camden, NJ.
