Gennesaret Free Clinic, Inc

Gennesaret Free Clinics (GFC) is a not for profit dedicated to meeting the needs of the homeless and medically underinsured in Indianapolis. GFC has been around for 33 years and has 4 distinct but intertwined service lines. We offer respite housing for homeless men and women so they have a safe place, off the streets, recover after a hospitalization. We operate both free medical and dental clinics and we have a program dedicated to helping women of color get the screening and care for breast and cervical cancer.

Little Sisters of the Poor - Indianapolis

The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, we serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world. Our MISSION is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.

Catherine's Health Center

Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide access to high quality, affordable and compassionate health care for our community throughout West Michigan.

St. Mary's Health Clinics

St. Mary's Health Clinics provide primary health care to persons who are uninsured, living within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The clinics are a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Paul Province. A majority of patients served are Latino/Hispanic and Spanish is their primary language. The clinics are located at seven sites throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area and serve an adult population.

Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc.

Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc. (NMHSI) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) that offers medical, dental and behavioral services in Northwest Lower Michigan. We have five clinics located in Traverse City, Benzonia, Ludington, Manistee and Shelby that cover seven surrounding counties; Grand Traverse, Antrim, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Mason and Oceana.

Excela Health is a multi hospital system with a variety of services outside the walls of the hospitals. Free standing outpatient services with full range of testing as well as physician offices and outpatient surgery.

St. Paul Higher Ground Respite Care Clinic & Minneapolis Exodus Health Supported Housing

Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis serves those most in need. We are a leader at solving poverty, creating opportunity, and advocating for justice in the community. In our housing stability programs, Catholic Charities provides shelter, meals and opportunities to find jobs, secure a stable home and medical care for those in need. Our Higher Ground St. Paul Medical Respite and Exodus Health Supported Housing provides respite care for 105 homeless individuals experiencing acute/chronic medical and/or mental health issues.

St. Joseph's Home for Children Community Health Clinic—Catholic Charities Twin Cities

St. Joe's Community Health Clinic in South Minneapolis is for children, most of whom participate in Catholic Charities' Children's Services Division through Hope Street, St. Joseph’s Home for Children, and children in the Hennepin County Shelter Foster Home System.

The clinic provides direct health care to children, newborns to 24-years-old, including immunizations & screenings, health & injury consultation, and developmental screenings.


NorthCare is certified as a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). As a state certified and nationally accredited CMHC, NorthCare serves the behavioral health needs of Oklahoma and Logan counties. NorthCare provides a comprehensive array of community based outpatient services to people below the poverty line and is the safety net provider for residents of the community serving the needs of adults living with severe mental illness (SMI).

Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all children through excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.

Student Responsibilities:
MAIN HOSPITAL/CHILD LIFE DEPARTMENT: Under the supervision of the Child Life Specialist/Assistant, facilitates play and activities with children in activity centers and at patient's bedside.
