Camp Gonnawannagoagin'

FACT creates social and recreational programs that improve social communication and quality of life for individuals (ages 4 to 21 years old) with autism and their families. Camp Gonnawannagoagin' is a fun filled, action packed day camp in Virginia Beach for 6 weeks each summer. Students, ages 4 to Adult with a primary diagnosis of autism, are eligible to attend. Daily swimming and field trips highlight the program that also includes music, crafts, sports, and games…everything a day camp for typical children offers, because children with autism are children first.

Divine Providence Village

Divine Providence Day Program provides day program servics for men and women with intellectual disabilities on the grounds of Our Lady of Fatima Parish serving individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental retardation 21 years and older. The student will have direct, daily contact with serving and supporting men and women with intelluctual disabilities in the Adult Training Facility (ATF) of the Day program. They require assistance for their personal needs, activities of daily living, activities in the program, feeding and other areas.

Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital

Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital is a 125-bed rehabilitation hospital that serves people with disabilities. Founded in 1912 as Rest Haven, a center for convalescing women, Schwab has evolved into a highly effective and innovative facility for medical rehabilitation and care. The mission of Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital is to improve the health, function, and well being of persons with disabilities by offering effective and efficient rehabilitation services.


Nativity Jesuit Academy - Camp Thunderhead

Nativity Jesuit Academy is a K4-8 co-ed Catholic, Jesuit, urban school serving predominately Latino young men and women. We prepare our students, in partnership with their families, for Christian leadership and service in high school, college, and life. Through our year round school year (summer programming includes summer camp for middle school students) Nativity Jesuit strives to form leaders who exhibit the 5 core values of: being religious, being loving, seeking intellectual excellence, committed to justice, and open to growth.

L'Arche Greater Washington, D.C.

At L'Arche Greater Washington, DC, people with and without developmental disabilities share daily life together, creating deep friendships in an interdenominational Christian faith community. Our community is welcoming of people of all faiths. We celebrate the giftedness of all people and seek to learn from one another through relationships based on mutuality and respect. L'Arche GWDC is comprised of four homes, two in Adams Morgan, DC and two in Arlington, VA.

Hannah and Friends

Hannah and Friends is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with special needs by providing grants to families and developing a residential community farm for adults with special needs. The SSLP student reviews grant applications, assists in the growth of the farm, organizes information sessions, and assists with fundraising events.


Sharing Meadows-LaPorte

Sharing Meadows offers a series of weeklong summer camps where other-abled adults can live, work and relax in peace and dignity. The campers have the opportunity for horseback riding, fishing, swimming and bonfires, as well as spending a week with people who recognize and appreciate their unique gifts. As a camp counselor, the student’s responsibilities involve the direct care of basic needs of the campers and assisting with the daily recreational and social activities.

Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children & Union Mission

The mission of Clelian Heights is to provide spiritual, educational, vocational, and residential programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities that enhance the quality of life and maximize their potential for independent living. At Clelian Heights the student works in a classroom helping the children with math and reading and chaperoning field trips and recess.


L'Arche Noah Sealth

L'Arche Noah Sealth offers people with developmental disabilities a family-style living environment that creates real homes where people with and without disabilities share life together in mutual relationship. Our three homes are places were we develop our talents, build friendships and quite simply, enjoy one another company. The student's work includes: cooking, cleaning, dispensing medications, helping with personal care, and offering love and companionship to the members of our community.


Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association

Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association provides year-round recreational activities for people with disabilities, including summer day camps for children and young adults. The student’s responsibilities include keeping the campers engaged throughout the day with activities such as art projects, going to a local pool twice a week, music, games both indoor and outdoor, and meeting their basic health and safety needs.
