Trinita runs the Family Life Development Program each Summer, designed as a faith-based summer camp for families who greatly need a break from the intensity of inner-city life. The program goals are to strengthen faith and family life. Along with the Trinita staff and sisters, volunteers are essential to every aspect of the program's implementation. SSLP students arrive early (Tuesday, June 8) before the mandatory Orientation Week for all other new volunteers which begins on Sunday, June 13. The first group of Families arrive on June 20 for a week-long stay.

ACE PATH Middle School Summer Educational Equity Program

St. John the Evangelist and Santa Cruz provide a Catholic education of the highest quality to as many children as possible in under-served and predominantly Latino communities. Notre Dame's ACE PATH program emphasizes continuous improvement to achieve the school-wide goal of College and Heaven by providing middle school students with the opportunity to enroll in a summer program in addition to the college persistence counseling students and graduates receive during the year.

Revitalization 2000, Inc.

Founded in 1998, Revitalization 2000, Inc. (“R2K”) builds empowering relationships with residents of the Ville neighborhood of North St. Louis.  We serve as a bridge between them and the broader region so that together we might build a better neighborhood and a better St. Louis.

Gwen's Girls

Gwen's Girls was founded by Gwendolyn Elliott, who as a police officer recognized a lack of understanding for the complexity of the needs of at-risk girls and that the existing services fell short of meeting these gender-specific needs. The student at this site serves as a counselor at a summer camp for girls ages 8 to 18. She supervises the girls as they participate in fine arts classes as well as classes that promote positive self esteem, healthy relationships, and belief in the boundless potential they have for the future.

Nazareth Farm

Nazareth Farm is a community of volunteers inspired by the Gospels and Catholic Social Teaching focused on prayer, community, simplicity, and service. We are devoted to developing relationships and addressing sub-standard housing by providing home repair in rural West Virginia. SSLP students are asked to participate in leading service retreats, staff meetings, assist with & lead Farm chores, and coordinate work sites as assigned and help maintain and repair buildings and farm grounds.

Our Lady of the Angels

The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels establishes a Catholic presence in West Humboldt Park, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Chicago. The Mission provides material assistance to the neighborhood and evangelizes through an apostolate of prayer, retreat and preaching. SSLP students will help with our summer camp, food pantries, and will help with behind the scenes work to help keep the Mission up and running. Students are required to live on site (if we are doing in person service).

Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, MA

For 129 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence (BGCL) has been in the forefront of youth development in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. We are the largest provider of after-school programming in the area, attracting a membership of more than 4,400 youths including some of the poorest children in the state.

Thames River Family Program

This program specifically serves young parents (singles and/or couples) who are18 to 24 years of age. The SSLP student helps run the summer program for the young parents with their children who reside at TRFP and serves as a role model.

St. Margaret's House

St. Margaret's House is a day center committed to the gospel value of hospitality for women and children in need. St. Margaret's provides individual attention to women's immediate needs, breaking the bonds of isolation and helping them acquire skills to better their lives. The student plans and implements daily activities and field trips for the children’s summer program. When not working with the children, the student will work with the adult female guests helping in the clothes closet or doing in-takes and generally helping out with the work of St.

South Bend Center for the Homeless
