As we plan for SSLP 2021, we are committed to the health and safety of our students as well as our site partners and ND Club sponsors. SSLP 2021 participants will serve exclusively in their home communities at an SSLP site sponsored by local Notre Dame Clubs. Students will either live at home or "on-site" at an SSLP service organization within a short drive to home in order to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure. All SSLP sites, in order to be eligible to receive a student next summer, will need to submit two distinct student service roles: an in-person direct service role like in past years as well as a service position a student could do while working remotely which this past summer proved can be very mutually beneficial and meaningful. We will plan for all students to do in-person direct service, but if it becomes impossible to do so, students would remain paired with the same SSLP site but would instead provide virtual service for the organization.
In the navigation menu on the left, you will find links to the Guide for Site Partners with helpful information about expectations for sites and Promising Practices, which features videos of SSLP site supervisors sharing some great ideas about how to make the summer as fruitful as possible.
