People, Land, and Community: A Seminar in the Spirit of Appalachia

Social Concerns Seminar

People, Land, and Community is an exploration of themes engaged in the Appalachia seminar but focused more intentionally on their meaning in broader society and in the life of one committed to justice and embodied CST. This seminar will use themes and cultural expressions of Appalachia as a starting point for examining critical issues related to human flourishing, the Common Good, creation care, and the relationship between environmental concerns and the most vulnerable populations of people in our communities.

Class Dates: Mondays: 7:00–8:30 p.m.,  August 31–November 9, 2020
