What We Know, We Owe

What happens when we take learning outside the realm of our own experience? Connie Snyder Mick, Ph.D., senior associate director and director of academic affairs at the Center for Social Concerns, found that students who engaged in community-based learning, added empathy and strength to their academic arguments and created writing that considered the common good.
