ND Votes

ND Votes is a nonpartisan campaign of the Center for Social Concerns, the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy, and the Constitutional Studies Minor to promote voter education, registration, and mobilization. ND Votes fosters conscientious engagement in political and civic life among students.

Grounded in the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ call to political responsibility found in Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, the initiative is led by a student task force. This body meets monthly and includes representatives of numerous political and social issues student groups. The Task Force has reached out campus-wide and has invited liaisons in each residence hall to join the effort to engage fellow students.

To get involved please contact task force chairs at ndvotes@nd.edu.

Notre Dame has partnered with TurboVote to facilitate voter registration, requests for absentee ballots and voting reminders. This online service is provided free of charge by the Rooney Center, the Center for Social Concerns, and the Office of Public Affairs and Communications to all members of the Notre Dame campus community.

Student TurboVote Registration      Staff TurboVote Registration     Faculty TurboVote Registration

Please note that if you are studying or working abroad for ND, you may sign up for TurboVote services to receive voting reminders. For all other needs, such as registration documents and absentee ballots, we recommend the resources at the Overseas Vote Foundation

Planned activities for fall 2019 include a student voter registration drive on campus,  monthly Pizza, Pop, and Politics discussions with faculty members on political issues, and events which create space for students to engage each other through civil discourse on political topics.  We will also continue to provide opportunities for students to engage local civic and political events.
