The Rev. Don McNeill, C.S.C., Leadership Fellows Program

The Rev. Don McNeill, C.S.C., Leadership Fellows Program forms passionate, faith-inspired leaders prepared to advocate and educate for human dignity and live lives of active citizenship for the common good.

Each year, the program welcomes a select cohort of undergraduates into a year-long leadership development program that integrates elements of skill building, discernment, and community commitment through the lens of CST and active citizenship in order to equip students to respond to 21st century problems and become leaders working for the common good in their communities at Notre Dame and beyond.

Programming happens within a framework of the four main pillars of the program:

  • Leadership development and formation
  • Skill building for social change
  • Community commitment as condition for effective action
  • Rootedness in Catholic social teaching and active citizenship

At the completion of the program, McNeill Fellows will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to innovate and respond to the social and political signs of our times, recognize and respond to injustice, motivate others toward works of mercy, and ultimately form and mobilize a faith that does justice and impacts the world for the common good.
