Workshop: Ethics, Community Engagement, and Higher Education

Thursday, February 21, 2019 - 3:30pm to 5:00pm

Allan Loup, assistant program director of Ethics at the Graduate School, and Jay Brandenberger, director of Research and Graduate Student Initiatives at the Center for Social Concerns, will lead a discussion of how the ethics of professional practice (found in disciplinary codes, for example) and the ethics of community engagement intersect. How can graduate students and faculty foster integrated ethical practice and engagement, and to what ends? This workshop will be participatory, and open to graduate students of all disciplines. Counts for the Graduate Certificate in Community Engagement and Public Scholarship. Graduate students register through GradConnect. Faculty, staff, and undergraduates interested in attending may contact Patrena Kedik to register or for more information.

Location:

Geddes Hall, Room 233
