Geddes Hall, Coffee House
The Riddle Bird Café is an open mic night that welcomes performances focused on justice themes presented from diverse perspectives. Poets, singers, storytellers, comedians, musicians, and performance art lovers are all encouraged to join us. No prior performance experience is needed to take the stage. Sign-ups for the open mic will be available on the day of each event. Each open mic will showcase a local featured artist performing a 20–30 minute set, followed by brief discussion about their art.
Featured Artist
Reminisce X is a young artist who sings in a style similar to Erykah Badu and has a lyrical mastery like Chance the Rapper’s. She is also the creator of "Homegrown Hype,” a local cooperative focused on creating a marketplace and resources for local artists. She will be joined by guest artist Heyzeus.
These events are a partnership between the Notre Dame Creative Writing Program, the South Bend Civil Rights Heritage Center, and the Center for Social Concerns.
