Humanitarian aid research on the border

This research seminar is being facilitated by Kraig Beyerlein, Associate Professor; Associate Director, Center for the Study of Religion and Society; Faculty Fellow in the Center for the Study of Social Movements, Institute for Latino Studies, and Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. His talk will focus on the role of religion in the humanitarian aid movement to save the lives of undocumented migrants crossing the Sonora-Arizona border. It is based on original research, including nearly 300 surveys of congregations in Southern Arizona and over 50 in-depth interviews with humanitarian workers. Coffee will be provided.​
