Stop by and talk to Allison Beyer, co-director of Dominican Volunteers (DVUSA), which places 10–25 volunteers annually to do full-time service and live in community for 11 months in various locations across the U.S. Diverse opportunities range from ethical investing to organic farming; from community organizing to working at the United Nations; from domestic violence counseling to campus ministry; from homeless services to refugee services; from immigration to education; from accompanying the elderly to parish ministry; health clinics to cultural community centers. DVUSA is a no-cost program, meaning that volunteers participate at no cost to themselves.
