Thursday, April 22, 2021 - 7:30pm

About the McNeill Fellows

Offered in honor of Rev. Don McNeill, C.S.C, for the life and legacy of the Center for Social Concerns founder Fr. Don McNeill, we are currently recruiting for the fifth cohort of McNeill Fellows for the 2021–22 academic year. The McNeill Leadership Fellows Program invites a select cohort of undergraduates into a year-long leadership development program that integrates elements of personal reflection, skill building, leadership training and opportunities, and community commitment through the lens of CST and active citizenship in order to equip students to respond to 21st century problems and become leaders working for the common good in their communities at Notre Dame and beyond.

Programming for the fellows happens within a framework of the four main pillars of the program:

  • Leadership development and formation
  • Skill building for social change
  • Community commitment as condition for effective action
  • Rootedness in Catholic Social Teaching and active citizenship

The McNeill Fellows Program consists of the following programmatic elements:

  • The McNeill Fellows Course
  • Community Internship
  • Fellows Outings
  • Leadership Challenge (fall)
  • Theory of Change Capstone (spring)
  • Mentor match
