Hannah Petersen '16, graduated with a degree in American Studies and now works in labor organizing. She will discuss her career and life after college, giving advice for current students who want to pursue meaningful work upon graduation
About the Speaker
After graduating from Notre Dame in 2016, Hannah Petersen (she/her) worked as a server at a hotel in her hometown Los Angeles and then taught in a school in Peru as a Jesuit Volunteer. Motivated by these experiences and relationships, she continues to put her faith into action by inviting community and workers to the same table of transformative justice as an organizer with UNITE HERE Local 11. You can usually find Hannah leading a picket line, organizing workers, chatting with parishioners at Dolores Mission Church, or baking at her home community, the Los Angeles Catholic Worker.
Attend the Event
Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP here. All students are welcome, though space is limited.
