CANCELED: Fall 2020 Social Concerns Seminars Information Session

Tuesday, April 7, 2020 - 4:00pm

Geddes Hall, McNeill Library

Social concerns seminars are academic courses that create opportunities for students to engage in social analysis, encounter community partners around the country, and reflect on their experience and its impact on individuals and communities. Most seminars include an immersion component which takes place during fall, winter, or spring break and require students to travel to different locations to address social concerns topics in context. Students examine social issues from various perspectives, read relevant texts, study the role of Catholic social tradition, share in the life of the communities they work with, and participate in creating active learning communities during the entire course of the seminar. The application for social concerns seminars is open to all students regardless of class year and prior coursework. Saint Mary's College and Holy Cross College students are welcome! Join us at an information session to learn more and chat with seminars staff and participants.

Application Deadline: August 26, 2020

Information Sessions: Geddes Hall, McNeill Library at 4:00 p.m. on April 7, 16, 20, 22 and August 24, 25, 26
