In Poverty Studies at Notre Dame, we encourage students to step outside the comfort of the classroom to encounter people experiencing poverty and addressing poverty firsthand. We require students to take 3 credits of experiential learning focused on poverty and provide opportunities to engage further through community-engaged courses, community-engaged research, and service.
