Where academic rigor and moral ambition meet


Grounded in Catholic social tradition and open to all backgrounds and beliefs, undergraduate and graduate students can respond to questions of justice through courses, research opportunities, and experiences in areas such as the environment, labor, mass incarceration, migration, poverty, technology, and beyond.

The Institute for Social Concerns offers justice education courses, programs, and minors grounded in Catholic social tradition that develop students’ moral imagination, practical wisdom, and courage to act.
