Casa Program of St. Joseph County
Focus:
To recruit, screen, train, supervise, and support volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who are wards of the Department of Child Services in St. Joseph County.
Activities:
Volunteers advocate for children in the court system as a result of alleged physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and/or neglect. Volunteers meet with the child regularly, interview all parties to the case, and complete court reports under specified time limits. Possible internships are available.
Hours:
MON–FRI 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Requirements:
21 +; background check; U.S. citizen; pass a drug screen
