Community-Engaged Research

Community-Engaged Research

Community-Engaged Research Community Impact Grant proposals should outline projects that connect campus and community experts to address a question of significance to both. Proposals must include a community partner in the lead team in addition to a Notre Dame faculty member (does not have to be a Community-Engaged Learning Coordinator).

The proposal must align with the principles of community-based research:

  1. Demonstrating reciprocity between academic and community partners,
  2. Supporting meaningful participation of all partners in all stages of the work, and
  3. Advancing social justice impact.

We recommend applicants send a brief email letter of intent two weeks prior to the deadline to Connie Snyder Mick, Ph.D. (cmick@nd.edu) to communicate an outline of the proposal.
