Boys & Girls Club of Allentown

Site Description:

For over 79 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown (BGCA) has been providing challenging programs and services to youth, ages 6 - 18, in our community. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We offer daily access to a broad range of opportunities in five core areas: Education & Career Development; Character & Leadership Development; Health & Life Skills; the Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

Student Responsibilities:
To assist staff with the supervision of children in classrooms/playground/fieldtrips; develop a rapport with the children by helping and talking to them; enforcing BGCA-Turner Street's Discipline Policy as needed; and may be in charge of leading a group activity. This includes giving directions, distributing materials, assisting children as needed, making sure they clean-up, and returning supplies to their designated areas.
