Benevolence Farm

Site Description: Benevolence Farm is where second chances grow naturally. Our mission is to cultivate leadership, promote sustainable livelihoods, and reap structural change with individuals impacted by the criminal justice system in North Carolina. We live out our mission by providing a housing and employment program for formerly incarcerated women on our 13-acre farm in Alamance County, NC. We also provide wraparound services to all the women we serve. Student Responsibilities: Solitary interactions may include but are not limited to, assisting with documentation, writing, planning, and organizing events.
The applicant will support our Reentry Coordinators and Enterprise Managers as they support our resident employees. Tasks may include but are not limited to, providing transportation, assisting with farming and body care enterprise tasks, coordinating maintenance and repairs of home and land, organizing recreational and weekend activities, tabling at markets and events, and so on.
