How do the social determinants of health affect poverty? If we understand poverty as trauma, how can trauma-informed care reduce poverty? How can public health policy address poverty?


Which strategies and initiatives work for reducing homelessness? How can we better understand the relationship between gentrification and poverty?


How can we better understand the relationship between public and private school institutions and poverty?  How can universal pre-K be implemented at the local and national level to address poverty, and how effective is it in doing so? How can we understand the role of diversity and inclusion education in reducing poverty?


What labor practices reduce inequality and increase inclusion in the workforce? What policies at the local and national level support workforce development and social mobility?


What methods of teaching and learning about poverty and community development, as well as assessing that learning and community impact are most effective? How do such pathways as community-based learning (CBL) and community-based research (CBR) impact student learning and community development? How can restorative justice methods impact student learning about poverty and injustice as well as impact community development?
