Site Description: Angels' Place provides homes and services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our residents live in twenty homes (3-6 residents each) in the suburban Detroit, Michigan area -- Livonia, Southfield, Troy, Farmington, West Bloomfield, etc. Student Responsibilities:
Paired with an experienced and licensed caregiver, students will work with our residents: fostering independence by helping residents with daily life activities prepare meals and clean dishes, wash laundry, perform yard work; maintain resident physical and mental fitness by playing games; assisting with educational enrichment; sharing spiritual time; providing coaching and chaperoning at Miracle League (baseball) and a 4-day residential camp in western Michigan; offering camaraderie and companionship by sharing walks and engaging in conversation.
