 THE URBAN PLUNGE
Faculty members lead one-time debriefings with students in January or February after their 48-hour immersion in an urban area over the semester break.

ONE-CREDIT SEMINARS
Colleagues on the Faculty provide readings and in other ways help with preparation and follow-up for students' spring or fall break immersion/service seminars. These courses take them to domestic locations including Appalachia, New York City, and Washington DC.

We are particularly interested at this time in identifying Faculty members who would be interested in working closely enough with a seminar to list the course in their departments.

 SUMMER SERVICE PROJECT INTERNSHIP (SSPI)
Three debriefing sessions are led by Faculty members each year with students who have volunteered during the summer in a U.S. city as part of a three-credit course.

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SERVICE LEARNING PROGRAM (ISSLP)
Through presentations and one-on-one or small group meetings, Faculty colleagues help students prepare to work in developing countries during the summer through our ISSLP. Individuals who can provide country analyses are especially needed. The program takes students to about 12 different countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

ADVISORY ROLES
Colleagues from the Faculty help select the Ganey award winners and mini-grant recipients, and offer us advice in a number of areas of our work, including research.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Is one of the aims of your teaching is to foster in your students a greater sense of civic responsibility or citizenship?
Are you interested personally in addressing a local problem as part of a coalition of community organizations, the city, churches, schools, and/or other local actors? If so, please contact us. We'd like to speak with you.
