SSLP Site Directory 2008

Thanks for your interest in the Summer Service Learning Program. We hope you find this directory helpful as you consider the many possible sites at which to serve. Please consider these guidelines:

1. Browse through the list of sites.
    • Use the category list to help find sites that address issues that interest you.
    • Within each category, the sites are listed by the state they are in, followed by the name of the sponsoring alumni club and the city in which the site is located.

2. Apply for the SSLP on line at: http://socialconcerns.nd.edu/academic/summer/SSP.shtml. On your application you can indicate two choices of sites. If you are open to many sites, you do not have to fill in choices at this time, but can choose Sites are filled on a first come, first served basis.

3. After you submit your application, come to the front desk of the Center for Social Concerns to sign up for an interview.

4. Once you are accepted into the program you will need to sign up for a placement session at which time you will be given more information about the sites that interest you. In this session you will also learn how the placement process works and what you need to do when you commit to a site.
