CSC News & Reflections
Spring 2004
Resurrection is in the air. These are such grace-filled days of new life.
As the trees bud and the flowers bloom, we are constantly reminded of what
new life can mean for us.
We are taking the opportunity in this newsletter to share with you what is
budding and blooming here at the Center. Each time we have an opportunity to
put this newsletter together, it helps us appreciate what sort of constant
renewal there is here at the Center, what sort of renewal and new life we are
apart of.
So walk with us and learn more about the ways that we engage our faculty, like professors Dennis Jacobs, Margie Pfeil, and Greg Downey. Take some time to see what sort of cultivation is happening in the minds, hearts, and lives of our students. Come learn more about our International Summer Service Learning Program. Come to know better Kathleen Andrews who has been a tireless champion of our efforts and a wonderful supporter for so many years. So much of what we are able to do is thanks to her and people like you.
Here in northern Indiana, these days of spring bring a renewal of optimism. With the sun and the warmer days and the Easter message, it feels like anything is possible. Hope in the midst of our troubles is possible. Fullness of life for the forgotten is possible. Peace for our sometimes struggling world is possible. And, as we send our students out from here, we send them out to bring that hope, peace and life. Thank you for the ways you accompany us in it!
So, I invite you in. Let this newsletter give you a sense for the exciting things that are happening here at Notre Dame, at the Center, and in the lives of our students and faculty, with our partners and in our community.
Resurrection is indeed in the air. We are blessed to be about this work, blessed to have you connected with us. Know of our prayers in these days; may the Resurrection of the Lord renew our world. God speed.
